Multi Grammy Award Winning Producer F Reid Shippen Upgrades to Unity Audio Rock MKII monitors.

Nashville based producer, engineer and mixer recently installed Unity Audio Rock MKII nearfield monitors to his private SSL based studio Robot Lemon. Reid Shippen has worked on no less than 10 Grammy award winning albums and hundreds of charting singles and albums including tracks by artists such as Adele, Jake Owen, Brett Eldridge, Death Cab For Cutie, Matt Kearney, Robert Randolph, Jonny Lang, The Jonas Brothers, Eric Church, Back Street Boys, Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town among others.

The Rock MKII is a critically acclaimed 2-way nearfield active monitor that features a seven inch ELAC woofer and a 50Khz folded ribbon tweeter designed by ELAC. The sealed cabinet uses Baltic Birch plywood and a huge 12mm Corian front baffle. The Rock is equipped with a 100 watt discrete bi-polar low feedback amplifier with custom wound transformers designed by the amp guru Tim de Paravicini of Esoteric Audio Research. Designed for demanding professionals The Rock is equally at home in studios or mastering environments.

“These speakers are my new go-to for fine detail listening- they reveal stuff that the others miss. Transient detail, imaging... They're brutally honest- not always fun, but incredibly useful, thank you... Reid

Unity Audio Sales and Marketing Paul O’Farrell-Stevens comments, “ I’ve known F Reid Shippen for sometime, his hybrid Nashville studio is an amazing facility with a wonderful collection of equipment both new and old. I’m absolutely delighted someone with such an incredibly successful track record as Reid evaluated the Rocks at length and felt he didn’t want to return them. High praise indeed for our brutally honest monitors.”
